Taylor Chapel Preschool has been serving the children of our community since 1967. We offer classes for 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
Our teachers incorporate the Zoo-phonics method of introducing phonics to all age levels and the Conscious Discipline method to instill a feeling of family and self control. The children are afforded the opportunity of field trips as a teaching tool to help them acquire background knowledge which can transfer to reading success in elementary school.
It takes a village to raise a child and we at Taylor Chapel Preschool would be honored to be part of the village you choose to help you in raising your child.
 
 We offer the following classes:
 
2 Year old class - Bears - There are 2 sessions offered, Mon/Wed/Fri and Tue/Thur. Mornings only - 9:00am until 12:00pm.
Maximum class size is 10 children per class with 2 teachers. Lead teacher is Miss Charlene.
Children do not have to be potty trained to attend this class.

3 Year old class - Ducks - There are 2 sessions offered, Mon/Wed/Fri and Tue/Thur. Mornings only - 9:00am until 12:00pm.
Maximum class size is 10 children per class. Teacher is Mrs. Nelson.
Children must be potty trained to attend this class.
 
4 Year old Pre-K – Parrots - This class meets 5 days per week, mornings only - 9:00am until 12:00pm.
Children must be 4 years old by start of school to enroll in this class.
Children work on kindergarten readiness activities. Teacher is Mrs. Dunfee.
 
4 Year old Pre-K – Dolphins - This class meets 3 full days per week, Tue/Wed/Thur from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
Children must be 4 years old by start of school to enroll in this class.
Children work on kindergarten readiness skills. Teacher is Mrs. Klee.
 
5 Year old Pre-K – Butterflies - This class meets 3 full days per week, Tue/Wed/Thur from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
This class is set up for the child that misses the start of school cut off day for kindergarten
or whose parents elect to hold them out for one more year.
The curriculum in kindergarten readiness but is a step between our other Pre-K classes and kindergarten.
Teacher is Mrs. Van Gilder.
 
First day of class is September 7, 2010. Last day of class is May 27, 2011.
Taylor Chapel follows Fort Wayne Community School System's schedule for major holiday and weather related closings.
